Oppdag det beste av nordlige Lanzarote på denne turen. Vi besøker den berømte innsjøen i grotten Jameos del Agua og utsiktspunktet Mirador del Rio, hvor du kan se over til naboøya La Graciosa. Vi besøker også Kanariøyenes eldste by, Teguise. Cristina, en av våre dyktige guider, sier: "Den lokale kunstneren Cesar Manrique var for Lanzarote det Gaudi var for Barcelona. Hans arkitektoniske visjon og aktivisme ga oss en unik stil i harmoni med våre vulkanske landskap og bidro også til å bevare øya – han var motstander av høyhushoteller, så svært få ble bygget."

Moroa begynner ved det Cesar Manrique-designede komplekset bygget rundt Jameos del Aguas vulkanske grotter. Han gjorde dem om til en nattklubb på 60-tallet. Scenen er fortsatt i bruk, men stjernene i dag er de sjeldne hvite krabbene i en saltvannsdam. Deretter vil vi kjøre gjennom dramatiske vulkanske landskap til Mirador del Rio, nok et Manrique-mesterverk. På nesten 500 meter over havet tilbyr den uslåelig utsikt over La Graciosa og dens vulkaner.

Etter å ha besøkt en aloe vera-produsent for å lære om denne allsidige plantens hemmeligheter, kjører dere gjennom en rekke vakre landsbyer og krysser de tusen palmetrærs dal på vei til Teguise. Denne historiske landsbyen er øyas tidligere hovedstad og kan skilte med en rekke iøynefallende palasser, klostre, kapeller og kirker – alle i gangavstand fra hverandre. Her har du tid til å vandre rundt og ta bilder i byens stemningsfulle sentrum.

Mye flott å se da vår svært gode guide, tror hun het Jamal fortalte hva vi så. Guiden ivaretakelse oss godt og skiftet naturlig mellom ulike språk, engelsk,tysk, nederlandsk og spansk. Flott å se og lære om Cæsar Marques verker og påvirkning av øyas utforming ifht arkitektur og tradisjon. Muligens litt lang tur til å kalles halv dag.....oppmøte 08.10- retur 15.10......men fine stopp slik at en feks kunne spise litt

Eigentlich hatten wir nicht erwartet dass die Tour zu Timanfaya zu toppen ist, aber wir wurden angenehm überrascht. Diese Tour war wirklich unglaublich. Die Führerin hat es sehr gut verständlich und super erklärt. Die Gegend ist ganz anders als der Süden und man sollte an dieser Tour unbedingt teilnehmen.

After lunch, you'll get to find out how grapes are grown at a volcanic soil winery. You'll sample one-of-a-kind local wines from La Geria, a unique wine-growing region created after the Timanfaya volcanic eruptions 300 years ago. Next up is the Salinas de Janubio salt flats where traditional methods are still in use. Seawater enters shallow basins, evaporates under the sun, and workers harvest the salt manually. These salt flats are a haven for migratory and coastal bird species.Thanks to its otherworldly natural landscape, Lanzarote was declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1993. And the star of the show here is undoubtedly Timanfaya National Park. Follow the famous Lunar Route and explore lava fields, volcano craters and steaming geysers as you learn about why the whole island has achieved this special UNESCO-listed status. Here, vines are shielded from the winds by horseshoe-shaped stone walls, while the humidity retained by the ash helps them grow in this harsh climate. Enjoy a guided tour of the winery and taste some of its prized Malvasia wines.Next, nestled at the base of the Juan Bello volcano, you'll visit Bodega Los Bermejos.
