In this day tour, you'll explore the Snæfellsnes peninsula in West Iceland, which is almost a miniature version of the island itself. Expect black sandy beaches, steep bird cliffs, spectacular mountains and glaciers.

Visit the small fishing villages of Arnarstapi and Hellnar, Djúpalónssandur beach and pass by the iconic Kirkjufell mountain. The stunning landscape is as diverse as it is breathtaking. The nature of the peninsula has captured the imagination of people all over the world, ever since Jules Verne wrote the famous science fiction novel "Journey to the Centre of the Earth" but the journey begins at Snæfellsjökull glacier.

    Zuverlässige Abholung von der lokalen Bushaltestelle zum Busbahnhof BSI, wo die Touren starten. Moderner Bus, großartiger Reiseleiter, erfahrener Fahrer. Wenn man die Tour mitten im Winter macht, ist es möglich, dass die Strecke aufgrund der Witterungsverhältnisse abgeändert wird: Sicherheit geht hier immer vor. Das war bei mir glücklicherweise nicht der Fall :-). Die Tour rund um die Halbinsel ist landschaftlich sehr beeindruckend und im Gegensatz zur Golden Circle Tour nicht "klassisch touristisch". Für die Wintertour: Sehr warme und winddichte Sachen anziehen, der Wind (teilweise Sturm) ist bei den Minusgraden absolut nicht zu unterschätzen. Zusatztipp: Eine Kamera dabeihaben, bei der man nicht wie beim Handy die Handschuhe ausziehen muss! Fazit: Großartige Tour! Man bekommt wirklich eine tolle Einsicht in die inländische Weite!
