Czego możesz się spodziewać?

Canarians call La Palma ‘la isla bonita' – the beautiful island – which is quite the compliment. It's so enchanting that Rudi, one of our guides, decided to make it his home 40 years ago. ‘I love doing this tour,' he says. ‘It shows you the island's past and present – from one of the world's biggest observatories to Tajogaite, Europe's newest volcano.' Plus, you'll discover wonders such as Roque de los Muchachos and the primeval Caldera de Taburiente.

Your adventure kicks off as you venture up the 2,500m-high Roque de los Muchachos – La Palma's highest peak – passing the domed astronomical observatory on the way. At the top, take in the views over the 8km-wide Caldera de Taburiente, the island's only national park. Ringed by cloud-bursting peaks, this immense bowl is thick with pine forests and waterfalls. Your guide will fill you in on the park's history and how your visit will help conserve its ecosystems.

Next, it's on to Puntagorda – arguably one of the prettiest villages in the Canaries. Nestled between two ravines, rows of pine and almond trees flank cobbled streets that enjoy sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean. Here, you'll have some time to have a poke around the weekly farmer's market, with stalls dedicated to local produce and handicrafts. At El Time viewpoint, there are heart-pounding views over the Angustias gorge. We'll also make our way to Tajuya viewpoint, from where you can observe the scarred, inferno-like slopes of the Tajogaite volcanic cone, formed from an eruption in autumn 2021.

Superb guide. Brilliant opportunity to see a lot of this beautiful island and learn so much about it. Inevitably there is quite a lot of time on the coach and some of the roads are very bendy in order to gain the height, but the views are worth it.

The trip was an amazing way to explore and understand the island. There were ample rest stops along the way and time spent at each enough to really take in the stunning views and be able to ask questions. Our guide Rudi was fantastic and shared so much history and anecdotes to keep everyone engaged and our driver Nacho was honestly the most skilled coach driver, he deserves a full round of applause for navigating some of the hairpin turns. I would definitely recommend this trip.

Long day on the bus which apparently covered 250km Great little atmospheric market for lunch stop with a wide choice of coffee beer pizza and treats Very knowledgeable and interesting guide - not for the travel sick ?? lots of hairpin bends Very interesting information on the island- the observatory telescopes, banana plantations, Canadian pine trees creating the national park and of course the volcanos Thoroughly recommend

Excellent tour, with so much information. Only slight downside was, we would have preferred a little longer at the science centre and maybe less time at market.

Speedboat tour of the northwestern coast of La Palma - no transfer

It's time to uncover the volcanic history of La Palma's northwestern coast on a speedboat tour. Gaze at the cliffs, ports and untouched beaches of Tijarafe and Puntagorda. The itinerary depends on conditions on the day, but you'll pass by gems such as Cueva Bonita and Poris de Candelaria, and take a dip at Playa de la Veta if the sea's in our favour. And keep your eyes peeled - you might spot dolphins or turtles along the way - so come aboard for an unforgettable adventure.

Northwestern La Palma Cruise Ticket

If you thought La Palma was beautiful, wait till you see it from the sea. This glass bottom-catamaran cruise along the west coast takes you to spots that are either hard or impossible to reach by land. You'll go into the Bonita Cave and see landmarks such as the Veta beach – and may even spot dolphins. The fun kicks off when the Fancy II sails from Tazacorte harbour. You'll sail northwards past volcanic cliffs with drops of more than 200 metres. We'll stop at the Bonita Cave – a large grotto with two mouths. Centuries ago, locals would hide here from pirates. The catamaran will sail right into the cave.Next up is Poris de Candelaria, where a few fishermen's huts have been built at the foot of cliffs. Snacks will then be served. We'll keep on sailing, passing the Colorada Cave and Poris de Puntagorda, in search of dolphins and whales.
