Built in 1906 by Alfred Brumwell Thomas, the City Hall is situated right in the heart of Belfast and will take you on a journey discovering the city’s history.
Inside the City Hall, admire the opulence of the Grand Staircase, Banquet Hall, lavish corridors with marble and Reception Room. Don’t miss the beautiful stained glass windows that tell stories of the past. There is a free exhibition which allows visitors to enjoy a self-guided journey of Belfast’s history, from the past to the present day. You'll also be able to find a cafe onsite for refreshments.
Nature lovers will be impressed by the City Hall’s gardens with its selection of plants and flowers. Here is where you can find a selection of memorials and statues dedicated to events and people associated with Belfast’s history – such as the famous Titanic Memorial and Queen Victoria statue. I would recommend this attraction, it is fact-finding and very interesting on how the Titanic was built and the long days the men had to work to earn a living.”
