O que esperar

O impressionante edifício neoclássico que abriga o Altes Museum (Museu Antigo) foi construído entre 1823 e 1830, pelo famoso arquiteto Karl Friedrich Schinkel.

Por mais de cem anos, ele tem abrigado uma coleção formidável de antiguidades clássicas (Antikensammlung). A coleção grega está localizada no primeiro andar do palácio, que foi totalmente reformado em 2011, enquanto o primeiro andar oferece exposições especiais. Desde 2010, abriga uma coleção de obras e peças de arte da Antiga Etrúria e de Roma.
