Sailing out of Funchal Marina, you'll take in impressive views of Madeira's south coast as you help yourself to the open bar. Watch, as over the course of your three-hour trip, the terrain changes from dramatic sea cliffs and volcanic rock formations to quiet fishing villages and the shady palms of the island's banana farms. The skipper will drop the anchor so you can swim and snorkel in the mild waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Plus, keep an eye out for whales and dolphin as it's a popular spot to see them.

Madeira's grape harvest season is one of the island's most vibrant and celebrated times of year. Join the fun by making wine the traditional way – barefoot, just as the locals have done for centuries. You'll begin the festivities with a wine aperitif, surrounded by sweeping views of the Atlantic while live folk musicians bring the atmosphere to life with Madeiran songs and dance.Next, you'll sit down to enjoy a buffet of traditional Madeiran dishes. You can expect Espetada, the island's signature skewered beef, along with other regional favourites that showcase the island's culinary heritage. Then comes the highlight of the tour, the grape stomping, connecting you directly to Madeira's winemaking roots. You'll wrap things up with an open-air wine-tasting led by a local guide, where you'll sip different varieties and learn what makes the island's wines so unique. By the end, you'll have celebrated Madeira's harvest season in the most authentic way possible – with food, music, laughter and plenty of wine.
