Beskrivning

Om du reser till Island är gejsrar, Gullfoss Gyllene vattenfall och Thingvellir sevärdheter du absoluta inte får missa. Under endast åtta timmar hämtas du på ditt hotell och kommer att utforska alla tre viktiga isländska platser. Som en bonus får du också se något extremt unikt, den stora vulkaniska kratern Kerid.

Thingvellir nationalpark är en isländsk nationell fylke: den ligger i bältet av vulkanisk aktivitet och sprickor som ligger över Island, en del av den mellersta Atlantens ås som skiljer Europa från Amerika. Här kan stå med din högra fot på ena sidan och vänstra på den andra och uppleva att befinna dig på två kontinenter samtidigt.

Därefter kommer du se de största gejsrarna i Haukadalurdalen, Strokkur och Geysir själv, vilket ger alla de andra i världen sitt namn. Strokkur bryter ut var 5:e till 10:e minut och skjuter ut en kolonn med vatten i luften till en höjd av 20 till 30 meter. På Geysir har du möjlighet att köpa din lunch innan du går till det vackra vattenfallet Gullfoss; du kommer att häpna över dess råa kraft. Detta fullbordar standard Gyllene Cirkeln-rutten men innan du åker tillbaka till Reykjavik kommer du också att besöka Kerid vulkaniska krater. Kratern är 270 m bred och mer än 55 m djup och längst ner i kratern hittar du en sjö som ger den lite magi.

This was a really enjoyable day. The guide was really informative. It was interesting to watch and eat the food prepared in the geothermal water in the ground at the first geyser and is something we didn’t experience on any other trip! More time would have been good at the Kerid Crater but we still managed to walk around it and down in the crater itself. There were plenty of stops during the day for refreshments and food if required. This is a must attend trip.

The tour was a full day of over 8 hours with some extra little visits given as well. Kristina our driver and guide was very helpful and amusing and talked us all the way round giving us a lot of very useful information. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone visiting Iceland.

Collected slightly late by Vlad , but not his fault as other customers at prior pick up didn’t turn up. Had to phone office as worried we’d been forgotten. Vlad was friendly and polite and handled more problematic customer with dry wit. Enjoyed day, although slightly rushed due to limited light.
