The boat was nice and the staff were all very friendly however it was very expensive for what we actually did. The description of the excursion on the tui app said that there would be swim stops and a beach visit but that was false advertising as neither of these things happened. We deliberately went for the more expensive excursion thinking there would be more involved and then we had to pay an extra 20 euros each for the transfer coming to around £65 each. When we arrived another gentleman that was on our bus paid there and was only charged 40 euros for the whole thing including the transfer. I am very disappointed in tui and the extortionate fees and false advertising. The only redeeming factor was that we did see dolphins but that credit goes to the fancy boat company directly.
If you thought La Palma was beautiful, wait till you see it from the sea. This glass bottom-catamaran cruise along the west coast takes you to spots that are either hard or impossible to reach by land. You'll go into the Bonita Cave and see landmarks such as the Veta beach – and may even spot dolphins.
The fun kicks off when the Fancy II sails from Tazacorte harbour. You'll sail northwards past volcanic cliffs with drops of more than 200 metres. We'll stop at the Bonita Cave – a large grotto with two mouths. Centuries ago, locals would hide here from pirates. The catamaran will sail right into the cave.
Next up is Poris de Candelaria, where a few fishermen's huts have been built at the foot of cliffs. Snacks will then be served. We'll keep on sailing, passing the Colorada Cave and Poris de Puntagorda, in search of dolphins and whales.
