The wine testing part was very short and unclear. We tasted wines, good but when we wanted to buy some wines there were already people from other group. It was a huge hassle to go through tens of people. I wished to have more explanation about the geology. Our guide explained many things but it could have been nicer to know more about the lava. Over all it was great experience.
Lanzarote's volcanic scenery comes into its own at Timanfaya National Park. This corner of the island is all rusty-red peaks and craters straight from a sci-fi movie set. And it's all even more dramatic at sunset. So on this evening trip, you're in for a treat. Before heading to Timanfaya, we'll make a short stop at La Geria winery. You'll drive the park's famous Lunar Route around the scorched peaks, known as the Mountains of Fire. Then, enjoy an exclusive stop at Montaña a Rajada lookout, before arriving at El Diablo, a circular restaurant built on top of the Islote de Hilario volcano. Designed by Lanzarote's acclaimed architect, Cesar Manrique, its floor-to-ceiling windows command jaw-dropping panoramas over the national park.
After capturing the candy floss clouds and craters on camera, tuck into dinner sizzled up on the volcano-heated barbecue, enjoying the views and live Canarian music.
