Garcia the guide was excellent and knowledgeable.She recommended the toboggan ride before Monte Palace. We were second in the queue, no waiting and the coach met everyone who choose this option at the end of the ride. We were then driven back to the Monte Palace annd gardens and able to enjoy the remainder of the trip. She gave us a great tour her knowledge of the plants and flowers second to none and we even met the owner Joe Bernardo who’s wished a a merry Christmas and vice versa. Great tour

Wander among the beautiful blooms, and soak up the serenity of the swans wading in the many ponds. And, for a fun extra why not take an optional toboggan ride down the mountain on a wicker sled. It's the traditional way to travel down, with two ‘carreiros' – or drivers – manning the brakes. Your guide will pick you up at the bottom.
