Petra was only recently rediscovered by the western world and has recently been named one of the seven wonders of the world. You will be picked up from your hotel at around 8 am and drive to the border, entering Petra through the Siq. You will arrive in Petra at around 11 am and first see the Treasury.
Among the many sights in Petra are facades, tombs, a Roman theater, and caves where the dead were once buried and prayed over. You have about 3 hours of guided tours and about 1 hour of self-exploration.
After visiting Petra, you will have lunch at a local restaurant with an extensive selection of oriental dishes. Then, your estimated return time to Eilat is 8 p.m.
