What to expect

There's only one breed of horse in Iceland – and it has remained pure for more than a thousand years – the Icelandic horse. These friendly creatures and their specially trained guides will escort you on a tour through ancient riding paths.

Expect to experience stunning scenery full of rocky lava fields and wintery landscapes. This tour is ideal both for beginners and experienced riders as groups are organised by riding skill. It means that you'll get to enjoy your own individual experience and adventure.

This is a chance to try something different – Icelandic horses are small, almost pony-sized creatures with prominent manes and low tails. Despite their apparent slightness, they're capable of great acceleration and speed. A great chance to be at one with nature.

Not suitable for wheelchair users. Warm clothes, suitable boots/shoes are essential. This is half day, afternoon excursion, pick-up at hotels approx. 13.00 hrs. and return at approx. 17.00 hrs.

Snowmobiling and secret lagoon

If there's one way to travel in Iceland, then it has to be by snowmobile. And this tour lets you whizz across the frost-bitten terrain, whilst ticking off a bucket list experience. After pick up, you'll head straight to Langjökull glacier where your snowmobile adventure awaits. And if that's not enough, you'll head to Flúðir's Secret Lagoon for a dip in its natural pool.Hop on your snowmobile and rev up for a thrilling drive towards Iceland's second-biggest glacier – Langjökull. As you grip the throttle, you'll witness nature in its purest form, with panoramic views of the pristine, snow-clad landscape. Iceland is famous for its glaciers but until recently, what lies underneath the Langjokull glacier had been a mystery. In 2010, the first manmade Glacier Ice Cave was carved to take people inside the heart of this remote glacier ice cap. What's more, you'll also visit the Hraunfossar Waterfall.After arriving at Husafell base, you'll climb onto a rugged snow truck to start your ascent to the ice cave, exploring the rugged glacial landscape along the way. An experienced guide will lead the way inside, where you'll see the magnificent blue ice buried deep beneath the surface that stays at a constant temperature of 0°.All this is combined with stunning waterfalls and panoramic views of the mountains as you make your way north to the glacier. And on our return, you might – with luck – catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights dancing through the sky.
