Teide by night from the south and west– English tour

I waited at the designated bus stop for 30mins, finally got through to speak to TUI trips only to be told my trip had been cancelled due to the weather. I had a email reminder the day before, the weather had been forecast for at least 24 hours so as I didn’t hear anything fromTUI I was sure my trip was running as scheduled. I was so wrong cancelled but did not inform me very rude and disappointing. As my trip included an evening meal I cancelled my evening meal in my hotel, missed evening meal

Excellent tour, guide etc.

The trip was very well organised. Our guide, Niko, was excellent, very knowledgeable and sympathetic to our needs. There were three different activities. First was the sunset. We have seen a variety of sunsets around the world, but this, on mount Teide, was the most beautiful and spectacular one. Then we had dinner which was well organised, and last, the view of the sky through telescopes. This was well guided and well explained. We fully enjoyed this experience.

For some stops there was not much time but I suppose that was because the trip had a time frame to include all those experiences. Otherwise it was an enjoyable experience in a whole. I found the food fairly good, there was plenty of drink going around on the table (white and red wine, beer and non alcoholic beverages) and we shared a table with other two lovely couples.

This trip was obviously great and the guide was brilliant. Lara came on the bus and we couldn't understand what she was there for. I guess she works for the company that we booked with.

This was a great experience but we spent more time at dinner than we did stargazing, which seems a bit.... Off. We would have enjoyed our own time to sit and stargaze, not feel rushed from one place to another. The driver and guides were great, even if they did almost leave without us at the final stargazing part!
