What to expect

Head on an adventure after sunset to chase the northern lights. Your guides are equipped with maps and live cameras to bring you to the places with the clearest skies.

At the spot, they will be happy to share their photography knowledge with you to help you capture the best shots of the aurora.

Don't worry about getting cold, as there will be some hot drinks with tasty cookies to keep you warm, while you wait for the northern lights to appear.

Meeting point:

Meet your guide at the Northern Shots office. The tour will end here as well. Helpful directions: the office is located between the Edge Hotel and the Magic Ice Bar, right in front of the Prostneset Harbor. Look for a big label saying "Booking Point".

What to remember

Know in advance:

Keep in mind that the aurora is a natural phenomenon and sightings cannot be guaranteed
The tour operates regardless of the weather conditions since the northern lights can be visible even on very cloudy, rainy, or snowy nights
In case of unsafe and dangerous weather, the supplier reserves the right to cancel the tour. In that case, a full refund will be issued
The tour operator offers a 50% discount on your next aurora tour if you do not see the aurora on your first tour. This can only be claimed at tour operator desk. It is subject to the availability of the day you choose to try again. If there are no available seats left, then you will be booked on another day. You cannot request a refund for this offer in case there are no available seats or in case you cannot take a tour on another day (tours are often fully booked from Dec 19th to Jan 9th and from Feb 5th to Feb 25th)
The supplier will own full copyrights of any photo taken by your guides. They will upload photos of you to a third-party web platform and monetize the photos. They may also publish video footage of you. If you do not wish any photo of you to be published or taken, please inform the provider, as well as your guide, before the tour and do not pose for the photographers
All pictures taken by the guides on your tour can be bought from the local supplier's website after the tour
The minimum number of participants for this tour is 5, in the rare event that the minimum number is not reached the local operator will offer you to reschedule your tour for another date, or offer a full refund
Infant seats and tripods are available upon request

Remember to bring:

Warm (windproof) clothes even in summer
It will not be allowed to eat inside the bus
The vehicle may drive for a long period without stopping for a toilet break. While this is rare, it may happen if we are in a road that does not allow for a vehicle to stop.
It is not allowed to use the toilet while the vehicle is moving
We may cross the border to Finland in order to reach a parking lot that may be suitable for watching the northern lights in some tours. Bring your passport or ID card accordingly

Miracle did happen sometimes, please do not gvie up hope. We went for the Northern Lights chase on a snowing night, Miracle and his team did a great job in finding the right spot to view the Northern Lights in Tromso. We really enjoy the trip and we will recomemend to our friends.
