Why you’ll love this…
  • You'll cut out the hassle of public transport with a transfer to the heart of Ibiza Town
  • There's plenty of free time for shopping and sightseeing
What to expect

Spending the morning out means that hitting the sunbed later on will feel all the better. And while you're out, you'll get to explore Ibiza town and all it has to offer. Enjoy a couple of hours of free time to hit the shops, head to the ancient fortress or sit down with a coffee and watch the world go by.

After pick-up from your hotel and transfer to Ibiza town, you'll have a couple of hours to do exactly as you wish. You can head straight for the boutiques and traditional shops to stock up on souvenirs and designer gear, or sip on a coffee at a sunny terrace before heading off to explore.

The ancient fortress in the heart of the old town is also well worth looking around – even if it's just for photos from the top over the marina below. Then navigate your way back through the cobbled streets to where your transfer will be waiting by the harbour.

Rep on bus pointless We were simply advised to follow our noses. No value for money. Taxi from hotel for family of 4 would be much cheaper. Would not recommend this trip

The journey was not very long about 30 mins, which was ideal with children. It was extremely a beautiful place, from the sea, to the shops & the restaurants. Would recommend

Really poor describing a tour guide in the description. There was a lady from TUI who was on the coach but that was it. The only 'guide' information was telling us to 'follow our nose' on arrival. Really poor

Transfer took 1 hour 20mins. We were informed it would be a 20 min. Shorter time there ment we didn’t have long. Guide was a lovely lady but only spoke for a few mins on the way back. I would not call that a guided tour. Once your there, we were informed that the cathedral was at the top but not the best route, so lots of taking the wrong way, which isn’t great with children and wasted more time.

It would have helped to know prior to visiting Ibiza town that access to the fort was restricted and that the castle was closed

Formentera and s’Espalmador Catamaran Cruise with BBQ

This is a day dedicated to pure relaxation in arguably the most exotic waters in the Mediterranean. You'll drift over from Ibiza in a catamaran, scooting by the islands of Formentera and s'Espalmador for some well-deserved sunbathing and swimming. There's a barbecue lunch on board, too, so everything's taken care of. Antoni, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘I'm from the Balearics, and even for me, s'Espalmador is a dream. A virgin islet surrounded by clean waters and untouched by civilisation.'Leaving the sun-kissed shores of Ibiza behind, you'll skim the surface of the azure Med as you sail towards s'Espalmador. You'll moor up so that you can step off the catamaran and explore the isle's Insta-perfect powder-white beach or cool down with a swim as your crew gets lunch underway. This uninhabited island is surrounded by a string of smaller islets, and the channel separating it from Formentera is so shallow that you can wade over.Back on board, you'll get to tuck into a barbecue, accompanied by salad and fresh fruit, all made from locally sourced ingredients. Then, hop on over to Formentera, Ibiza's tropical little sister, for another swim. This exclusive island has managed to stay under the radar despite being ringed by enticing fluorescent seas and rocky inlets. To protect the submarine eco-system, especially the fragile underwater posidonia meadows, the boat doesn't anchor, and no plastics are used on board.

Formentera Guided Tour from Ibiza by Fast Ferry

Formentera is Ibiza's idyllic island escape. There are no highrise hotels and locals zip from one beach to another on scooters. On this trip, you'll take the comfortable fast ferry over to visit Sant Francesc, Es Mirador lookout and the stunning beach of Es Pujols, all at a pace in keeping with the laidback island vibes. Toni, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘From the Mirador viewpoint you can see the whole island, which is shaped a bit like a seahorse. On the left you'll see playa Mitjorn – it is said that this is Bob Dylan's favourite beach. He used to get his nightcap from the beach kiosk there.'Catch the fast ferry from Ibiza to Formentera, and our first stop is Sant Francesc, the quaint little island capital. The hub of the village is undoubtedly the main square, Plaça de la Constitució, fringed with vibrant cafes and restaurants. On warm days, the square is usually thronged with locals and visitors making it a top spot to people-watch and soak up the relaxed island atmosphere. Look out for the 18th century church of Church of Sant Francesc Xavier, which is the essence of simplicity.Next up are the epic views from Es Mirador, the island's highest point, and the iconic La Mola lighthouse. And last but by no means least, you'll have free time in the seaside village of Es Pujols. Here you can enjoy lunch at a beachside restaurant or just chill out on the silky sands lapped by turquoise waves. It's a scene that wouldn't look out of place in the south Pacific.

Catamaran Ibiza Sunset Ticket

Sunset, music, barbecues and the sound of the sea – this afternoon catamaran cruise promises the chilled-out Ibiza vibe but in the middle of the Med. You'll sail out towards s'Espalmador then kick off your flip flops for dinner, drinks, DJ music and sunset skies above.Leaving the sun soaked shores of Ibiza behind, you'll skim the surface of the bright blue Med as you set sail towards the virgin island of s'Espalmador – an uninhabited island floating on iridescent waters between Ibiza and Formentera. You'll moor up so that you can step off and explore its made-for-selfies white sandy beach, and freshen up as your crew gets dinner underway.Back on board, and you'll get to tuck into a fresh barbecue of meat, fish, salads and fresh fruit as we sail the seas. There's plenty of photo opportunities along the way – think fluorescent blue seas and inlets as the backdrop – and the chance to take one last dip before sailing back through the sunset. DJ music completes the scene.
