A sightseeing tour around Muscat is a great chance to soak up the Arabic atmosphere and explore the city where ancient architecture and monuments are combined with modern life.
First up on the tour is Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque - a traditional light Islamic building made from sandstone and marble. Next up is a stop at the Royal Opera House, before heading to Muttrah Souq - a market located at the foot of the Gulf of Oman. It's an ideal place if you want to have a look at the ordinary life of Omani's. Look for authentic items and haggle from spices to traditional rugs and vases.
Having seen the market, you'll head to the Mutrah fort, before rounding the tour off at the Al Alam Palace. Located in the city centre, it attracts visitors from afar and although it is not open to the public, it's a great spot to take snaps.
