When you arrive at Giza, you'll be introduced to the last remaining wonder of the ancient world, the Pyramids. You'll enter one of these colossal tombs to unearth its secrets before a visit to the Great Sphinx, where you'll stand in a prime spot near its front for photos. You’ll end your day at the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities in Cairo, home to the world’s largest collection of ancient Egyptian artefacts. What to remember

Extra fees to be paid on site:

  • You'll gain access to the pyramids area, but the entrance fees to get inside the pyramids (Cheops, Mykerinos or Kefren) aren't included. The tickets available are limited and must be purchased on site, so access isn't guaranteed. The adult entrance fee of Cheops Pyramid is around 1,500 EGP, and Mykerinos or Kefren Pyramid is around 280 EGP. Children under 12 years get a 50% discount
  • At the Cairo Museum, personal cameras without flash are allowed for an additional fee that is currently EGP 50. Just so you know, this is subject to change without prior notice
  • Visa fees

Know in advance:

  • Please arrange a take-away breakfast box with your hotel reception one day before the tour date. If your accommodation includes dinner, then please coordinate with your hotel reception prior to the tour date to provide a late dinner at your room when you get back
  • The tour duration and pick-up times are simply guidelines, subject to change due to operational conditions and your hotel location
  • The six-people private group is open to a maximum of 15 participants

Remember to bring:

  • Your passport/ID with a valid Egypt Full Visa sticker. If you only get the free stamp (the Gulf of Aqaba Stamp) upon arrival at Sharm El Sheikh Airport, then you still need to buy the Full Egypt visa at Sharm El Sheikh Airport when you arrive for your flight after you've been picked up at your hotel
  • Long trousers, sunglasses, walking shoes, a camera, and cash
  • Notice: The Hall of Tutankhamun at the Egyptian Museum (including the Golden Mask and Golden Sarcophagus) will be closed from 20 October 2025 as the collection is being transferred to the new Grand Egyptian Museum. The Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, however, remains rich with exceptional treasures, including the mummies and the gilded mummy mask of Yuya and Thuya—among the most spectacular ever found in the Valley of the Kings—remarkable for their extraordinary preservation and lifelike features

    We really enjoyed the knowledge of the egyptologist. Seeing the sights was great but we would have liked more time in the museum to look around. We could have done this instead of the boat. The trip to the perfume shop at the end of the day was a waste of time. Not interested and none of the group were.

    Really good trip and very good people assist you with a smooth journey to the Cairo and back. The driver , security and the guide were superb and a really good itinerary overall.all we expected and more.

    The day trip overall was a great experience and well worth undertaking. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the whole day and everything we seen. Security was also very good who was obviously very professional but interacted very well with the group. Our only niggle was a feeling of being a bit ripped off when paying for extras and the rep used an extremely poor exchange rate from EGP to USD and back to EGP. Using a converter of 70 rather than 45/46, However a very good experience.

    The flights to and from Cairo were both late but I realise that that is out of Tui's control. That said, despite arriving 2 hours late, our guide Manal, was brilliant and managed to fit all that we wanted to do, into the time left. Our driver was great at navigating the Cairo roads and we felt we had enough time at each place. Very hot of course so couldn't spend too long at museum, (no air con!) so was thankful the coach was always handy to cool off in. Our guide made the day for us, Manal.

    The tour was amazing Habib looked after us very well. He is very passionate about the history and ensuring we seen everything we set out too. However the tour people in Sharm not that organised as Cairo but trip and Habib gets a 10/10
