Enjoy a full-day exploration of Tuscany's villages and wine regions, starting from Siena. Discover the beauty of San Gimignano, the Chianti wine area, and the Montalcino fortress.
The day begins in San Gimignano, known as the "City of a Hundred Towers" and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your guide will share fascinating details as you explore the town's historical centre, filled with local artisan shops and ancient palaces. San Gimignano is also famous for Vernaccia, a prestigious white wine and the first Italian DOCG wine. Afterward, relax at a Chianti winery, where you can enjoy an optional lunch featuring local salami, cheeses, and other specialities, paired with a tasting of Chianti wines.
Next, head to the Val d’Orcia, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its stunning landscapes. Visit Montalcino, where you’ll be treated to panoramic views of Brunello vineyards. Your final stop is a local wine cellar, where you can taste the world-famous Brunello di Montalcino, one of Italy's first DOCG wines, alongside local delicacies.
