Great way to explore Bangkok’s canals on a tight schedule! My friend and I hopped off at Big Buddha (with a beautiful crystal stupa) and Talad Phlu for local food. The ride took about 2 hours total — around 1 hour if you stay on. It was worth it and we loved it !!
Step aboard for a relaxing hop-on hop-off boat ride through Bangkok’s canals. Glide through the historic canals of Thonburi, discover temples, markets, and hidden gems along a scenic water route, or simply sit back and enjoy the ride.
Your adventure begins at Wat Mai Yai Nui pier, where you’ll board the boat and cruise along peaceful canals. First, you'll encounter Wat Paknam and Big Buddha, renowned for their colossal Buddha statue, emerald-glass pagoda, cosmic ceiling murals, and and a serene atmosphere.
Next, you'll discover the Artist House and its surrounding community, also known as Baan Silapin. This 200-year-old wooden house has been transformed into a cultural sanctuary. Further along the route lies Talat Phlu food market, one of Bangkok’s most cherished local markets, famous for its street food and authentic neighbourhood charm.
Lastly, you'll come across Wat Ko, an island-like haven where locals often visit to make merit, light incense, and bask in the tranquillity of its shaded grounds. A colourful modern mural brightens the main hall and the monk’s mummy stands as the highlight.
You can choose to disembark at any stop to explore. Your ticket is valid for 24 hours. If you’d rather stay onboard, relax and enjoy the full loop as a leisurely sightseeing cruise.
