Itinerary
Day 1: Early morning pick up from your hotel and drive along the Mombasa – Nairobi road heading for Tsavo East National Park, Kenya’s largest wildlife sanctuary. The access to the park will be through the Bachuma gate. The park holds the country’s largest elephant population, known as the Red Elephant.
The game drive meanders through the vast plains interspersed with woodlands that behold captivating views of the Taita Hills and the impressive Yatta plateau to Aruba, This word means "elephant" in the Waliangulu language which was a hunter–gatherer community that once dwelled in this area. Exploring the hinterlands of the park is a rewarding experience with opportunities where you might see lions, cheetahs, or the great herds of buffaloes stampeding across the plains. Arrive at the Ashnil Aruba Lodge for lunch and an additional game drive planned for the afternoon before departing in the evening for Taita Hills Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: After breakfast, depart for a morning game drive in Taita Hills Sanctuary till noon. Return to Taita Hills Lodge for lunch. After lunch drive to Saltlick Safari Lodge for check in. Afternoon game drive in the Sanctuary which hosts varied species of birds and animals including lions, elephants, giraffe, and zebras. Before dinner proceed on a night game drive with an opportunity to see nocturnal animals.Dinner and overnight at Saltlick Safari Lodge.
Day 3: Early morning game drive in the Sanctuary. On a clear day, the imposing magnificence of the snow-capped Kilimanjaro Mountain crystallizes your morning drive returning to the Resort. Drive back to Mombasa after breakfast and onward to your hotel with arrival due in the early afternoon.
